The history of the Spalding brand dates back to 1876, when its founder Albert Goodwill Spalding, a famous American baseball player, uses his practical knowledge to develop the first product - the baseball, which conquers the sports market for good and becomes a benchmark in manufacturing for the next several decades. Less than a decade after this groundbreaking invention, the brand becomes one of the largest manufacturers of baseball bats in the United States and slowly gains popularity around the world. In 1894, Spalding expands its product line to include basketballs, followed a year later by volleyballs, which are rapidly conquering the sports industry.
In the 1930s, the Spalding brand achieves spectacular success. Its basketball made of composite leather becomes the official ball of the NBA. This event brings the company worldwide fame, and its products begin to be used by the most professional athletes.
The beginning of the 2000s is a period of continuous growth for the brand and the development of modern technological solutions. This is when the manufacturer Spalding introduces the ball developed with the Integrated Micro-Pump® and Infusion system. Exactly in 2006, the light of day saw the NEVERFLAT Spalding basketball, which maintains the right level of inflation for at least a year. It was a breakthrough discovery that set paths in further ball design. In 2008, the company released a line of products dedicated to the youngest users - GEAR Rookie, which includes specialized playing accessories tailored to a child's stature and predisposition.
Over the years, the Spalding brand has achieved incredible success and has become one of the leading sports manufacturers. Its products are worth choosing both at the beginning of the journey with team sports, as well as being an advanced player.
